This exceptional example of Victorian mourning jewelry is constructed of four strands of braided tube woven hair with hand engraved 10k gold end caps and centerpiece box; the tightly woven tubes have enough give and stretch in them that you can slide the bracelet over your hand, without the need for a clasp. This piece is in incredible condition for its age with the hair showing almost no signs of use. Because there is no monogram on the center gold piece, I assume that the piece was made, but never actually used.
