This antique good luck charm is a hand carved jade figa fist with a gold filled end cap & bail. The figa symbol has been around since ancient times but today is mostly used in Italy, Brazil, & Peru as a talisman to ward off the evil eye; interestingly it has also been used as an obscene gesture ;)
