This exceptional Victorian era Scottish provincial pin is a Celtic penannular, which is used as a cloth or cloak fastener. The piece is constructed of 10k gold with hand cut agate and jasper inlaid gemstones and features three faceted amethysts and a single faceted citrine gemstone finial; it is furnished with intricate floral engraving on the reverse. This pin weighs 26.3 grams and measures 55mm wide. This piece is in good antique condition with surface wear, there are minor chips and one crack to the hardstones.
