This exceptional and large Victorian mourning necklace is constructed of carved gutta percha, featuring a cameo style profile of a woman on top of a locket compartment that contains intricate engraving details on both sides. This locket is framed by a floral wreath border and hangs from a ball style bail; the metal components are brass. It is hung on a 2mm wide, gold filled prince of wales chain. This necklace measures 19 inches long with the locket bottom section measuring 57mm tall and the bail measuring 17mm wide. This piece is in great antique condition with light wear.
