This beautiful Victorian era gilt metal pin features a five-petal flower design with tri-tipped petals made of the collectible saphiret gem, and a single faceted saphiret center that moves independently. Saphiret is a rare, highly coveted, antique art glass primarily produced in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia, during the mid-19th to early-20th century. It was created by fusing real gold with sapphire-colored glass, resulting in a distinct, color-changing material that shifts from brown, to pink, to blue. This piece is so much better in real life.
