Description

This early Victorian 14k gold mourning ring features a simple black & white agate with a hand carved forget me not flower cameo; the ring head is comprised of a gold wire that twists in an infinity knot around the cameo and the band is three sections of gold wire soldered together.  This piece was worn in remembrance of loved one that has passed on and bears a hand engraved inscription on the inside of the band.  The name is not clear, but the loved one died in 1837 at the age of 65.  Such a sweet example of Victorian sentimentalism.

Measurements: size 7.75, head 12mm, weight 2.6 grams

Condition: great antique condition with light wear; has been sized at some point in this ring's history, which can be seen on the side of the band; there is a small split where one of the bars connects with the center of the head, but this does not affect the integrity of the ring

Markings: not marked but has been tested and is guaranteed
