This incredible one of a kind posy holder (or tussie mussie) was made in France during the late 1800s and is constructed of gilt silver with Renaissance Revival engraving throughout. This piece features a center spinning element with a hand painted enamel flower petal design and alternating garnets, with a cobalt blue enameled metal insert underneath. This is framed by alternating turquoise gemstones and red glass with three drop dangle accents. This piece weighs 65 grams and measures 94mm tall. It is in good antique condition with overall surface wear; there is a spot of solder on each top side. It is marked with French hallmarks as shown.
